Most terminals are set to automatically batch at the end of each night, however for there are times you may need to do a manual batch. Here are some simple steps to manually batch out your machine.

To manually batch out your machine, start on the homepage of your Sierra app. Above the boxes and below the dollar amount, you will notice some tabs - Credit, Debit, & Func.

Tap the Func tab. Tap the Batch option (yellow/orange option in the middle row, far right column)

When prompted for a password, input the day’s date in the form of mm/dd/yyyy (i.e. 02192025 for February 19th, 2025). If the device date is different, change the device date or enter the date on the device as the password.

Confirm closing the batch until a “Batch Close Successfully.” or "No Transactions to Batch" message is displayed.

For completed batches, a batch receipt is then displayed.
